Some pictures from the CCTV cameras operated by Devon County
Council staff are available to be viewed over the internet.
The cameras are used to assist the police in crime prevention/detection
and also to monitor traffic congestion and the current weather.
The County Council's Control Room staff use this up to the minute
information to assist them to keep the traffic flowing as freely
as possible.
When the cameras are orientated in such a way that the images
only show traffic flow related information, their pictures are
transmitted to the internet. At other times, no image can be viewed
via the internet.
